Case Study #1: Planning for Film and Television Department for Vendor Client

Key Skills: Technology, business process, contracts

Tasks: Helped establish and design form contract templates, researched and implemented first draft of the website delivery process, designed and monitored the method for on-boarding customers. Managed third party vendor relationships with methods of solicitation and protocols for engagement.

Case Study #2: Major Copyright Settlement Project involving Movie Studio

Key Skills: Laws relating to copyright infringement, lawyer fee structures, contracts, musicology

Tasks: Researched and identified copyright infringement cause of action. Worked with the Vendor’s client in briefing them of the situation. Devised a custom Vendor-client deal that would dictate the terms of payment for attorneys, Vendor and their client. Referred litigation counsel and provided ad-hoc support to keep Vendor and their client within their anticipated budget.

Case Study #3: Established Sub-publishing deals in all major collection territories for Vendor

Key Skills: Understanding of foreign collection and how local foreign taxes are applied, legal jurisdictions in transnational contracts and agreements, foreign metadata standards

Tasks: Researched, identified need and solicited foreign companies according to a Vendor designated checklist of fees, rights and infrastructure. Managed the relationships on behalf of Vendor with subsequent foreign partners from territories as diverse as Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands.
